MY BRIEF SPOIL-FREE REVIEW OF
Scream 5
(2022)
Film, R-rated, 1h 54m
10/12 DARK MOONS
IN THEATERS NOW!
OH YES, YOU'RE GONNA SCREAM!
There are rules:
"...you can never have sex, you can never drink or do drugs, and never (ever, under any circumstances) say “I'll be right back”."
Based on Wes Craven's brilliant original slasher, comedy horror-franchise creation, Scream, where a person/or persons donning a 'Ghostface' mask, who love all the great 'Pop-culture horror movies of our past, is/are now bent on unleashing their own murderous killing spree in 'classic' movie style. This STAB at attacking the "Requel" was very satisfying and very fun. The classic characters blend with the new cast effectively. Although a couple of holes and loose ends, Scream franchise fans should really enjoy the twists and jump scares. It was thouroughly worth a theater watch!
2022 SYNOPSIS:
Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, Calif., a new killer dons the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town's deadly past.
